Bush tells graduates of `great clash' in Iraq: 981 cadets hear WW II comparison
Article Abstract:
President Bush addressed at Air Force Academy, Colo, U.S. on 2nd June, 2004 and in his speech he said about the prospect of a long, demanding fight against terrorism urging Air Force Academy's 981 graduates to disregard the war's critics and summon the same courage as an earlier generation used to conquer the Nazi tyranny in World War II. Bush drew a direct correlation between challenges facing the United States today facing the United States today from Iraq and those of World War II and Cold War.

Army extends GI combat duty: Soldiers near discharge must go with units to Iraq, Afganistan
Article Abstract:
The U.S. Army is under pressure because of the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, announced on June 2, 2004 that it will require thousands of soldiers whose terms of service expire during future deployments abroad to remain with their units. Pentagon official said that new policy `stop loss' would immediately affect two active Army units-the 2nd Brigade of the 10th Mountain Division and 2nd Brigade of the 2nd Infantry Division.
